For my Minbari ships, I primed them Light Grey and then painted them with Bright Blue. The Flyer in the center is what it looks like at that stage. I then strip the paint, with a brush wet with thinner , from the areas that are supposed to be lighter in color as seen by the three Nial fighters.

The next step after this (picture soon) is to paint the purple detail. I tried to be accurate where I could but I wasn't overly worried about it since I figure most people don't know what the patterns are supposed to look like anyway.

These are finished as usual with some very thin black wash in the crevices and a very light drybrushing with white.
