Ta'sesh'ku Armed Heavy Tug History
Just prior to the Earth Alliance entering the Dilgar War, the Pak'ma'ra were more and more becoming victims of attacks. They were not only being attacked by the Dilgar, believing them to be carrying weapons and supplies for their enemies, but also from the other league races who's resources had been seriously drained by the war effort. They needed supplies and turned their eyes to the easiest source to obtain them; Pak'ma'ra shipping. The juciest targets were the slow moving barges and their tugs, ferrying vast numbers of cargo containers from orbital holding areas to the starbase or commerce hub located nearby.
In response to these acts of piracy, the Pak'ma'ra began arming their tugs like the Ta'sesh'ku. They were not enough to thwart the desperate measures to which the League races were resorting however, as many of the raids were carried out by military ships. The Pak'ma'ra military at times intervened but they could not protect every outpost and starbase their commerce did business. Another solution had to be found.
Krel'ti Battle Barge History
Taking the idea from other civilian anti-piracy agencies, the Pak'ma'ra decided to create their own version of a Q-ship. Supported by their military, who were starting to feel the effects of the drain on their resources, at least one of the common Krel'ti unpowered barges at each Pak'ma'ra outpost were converted into weapon platforms. Easily disguised among the many barges transferring cargo, these battlebarges posed a serious threat to even military vessels. These barges made it clear that attacks on their commerce was not going to be tolerated.
Heavy Grappling Claw
Rules: The Heavy Grappling Claw works the same way as it's smaller cousin the regular Grappling Claw with one exception. The powerful grip of the Heavy Grappling Claws allow both units to perform maneuvers instead of just the target.
